Was born in India, grew up near Washington, DC, have graduate degrees in library science and religious studies, and previously lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. I first came to Costa Rica in February, 2008 as an ESL volunteer at the Sarapiqui Conservation Learning Center where I enjoyed living near the rainforest and seeing toucans and frogs every day.  After completing the  six month volunteer assignment I decided to stay in Costa Rica and teach ESL on a paid basis.  I am looking forward to retiring in Costa Rica and building my dream retirment home in San Ramon.
